I´m constantly learning new things about myself and the world I live in, and hope that through my life journeys I can find new ways in which to use my life, passions, and skills to serve others. I have left my job and the comfort (and cold) of my home in Iowa to spend the next 6 1/2 months serving as a missionary volunteer through the United Methodist Global Ministries Individual Volunteer Program in Puno, Peru and Copacabana, Bolivia, and am eager to see how God will use me to serve others here.

It is my hope that through my volunteer work I will be able to assist with further development  of the local churches and their community outreach efforts. Our hope is to work with churches to help empower local healthcare workers to better serve their communities, improve the quantity and quality of community healthcare programs, and help to further develop outreach programs for the women and youth in the community.

I hope that this blog will allow all of you to share in my journey
